What a day!

Well I have to say its not just a day its a life full of wonderful days! I know I say it alot but its because someday I am going to wish I had one more chance to say it. I love my family!!! They are so amazing and I feel so blessed to have them. Yesterday we were able to watch my little brother (who mind you is now taller than me but will forever be my little brother) play in his baseball tournament. Can I just say I love that kid. I have to watch myself because I don't want to embarrass him but I love watching him play sports. He really is talented and I am so proud of him. Well Charlotte went with us and just could not understand why she could not go be with uncle Iyan.( she cant say Ryan so it comes out Iyan) She was very upset that he was on the other side of the fence. The whole 30min drive down to see him was Iy this and Iy that. I really dont know what came after the Iy but she was saying something. I am really glad that she love him so much. You should just see how much he loves her. No matter what once that girl walks in he is all hers. Well back to the game. We went and got KFC grilled chicken family dinner (by the way the grilled chicken from KFC is AWESOME) and just sat with our lawn chairs watching the game. I looked at my family and just had this overwhelming love for all of them. Now my brother in law Tigh and I get along great but we always tease each other so what I am about to say can NEVER I repeat NEVER leave this blog. Ok here goes. He is a really great guy. His brothers family came down with the swine flu and it is just so sad. They have an almost 18month old and a 3week old baby. Well both Dad and the toddler have the swine flu and mom is sure to catch it. So the 3 week old baby has to go and stay with Tighs parents for about 4 days or more. Oh my heart and prayers go to that family right now. Well Jac has been working over there for his parents and had not finished the project she was working on and they cant go over till this has all past and has had some time to make sure the germmies are no longer there. So Tigh went over last night before the baby came to finish everything so Jac could stay at the game and not worry about the project she started and could not finish later. I know it seems silly to blog about that. But it really made me think last night about how much the little things mean. I just thought " Tigh is a great guy" again no one better tell him. So all in all last night I really was able to count a few of my many blessings by name. I feel so blessed to be able to have such a wonderful family. Oh one other cute note. When Jac told Char that aunt Dodie (that is how Char says Goldie so cute!!) was sick Char folded her arms and had everyone in the family say a prayer for Aunt Goldie and Uncle Chase and Jax and Ben. I am so glad Char loves them so much and that her parents have taught her that prayer will help all situations. What a wonderful child and blessing.
Ok so there you have it. Another post bragging about my family. But what can I say. When you know my family you know me.

Love,
Kristen

http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=5738592

I was just reading the news and this article came up about a lady suing the police department for police brutality. I have a few things to say about this.
1. When an officer tells you to do something you better do it. When he tells you to get off of your cell phone. He is not asking he is telling you. Get off the phone.
2. Don't resist arrest. It will hurt. That is not called police brutality. That is call police safety. You get what you ask for.
3. When you have two pit bulls running around the neighborhood and are not being monitored you have a problem. Pit bulls have attack many young children in the last few years. Police take this seriously.

So here is the lesson today. Don't be an idiot and you wont get your pants ripped and a bruised and bloody arm.

I know every case is different but this lady is stupid and if I were picked to be on this jury I would send her to prison for being an idiot. Come on people grow up and take responsibility for your actions.

Ok I know I have not posted for a long time and the one I do post is about someone stupid. But good news is that I went to the spa and loved it. I really am in a good mood!!!

The New Year!

Wow can you believe that it is almost 2009! Well I am still having a hard time with it. I know everyone always has these new year goals and fun (not) stuff like that. But this year is going to be so busy my only goal is to live through it. I am starting nursing school in about 7days. Then four days later I am going to Orlando for 10days. After that it is back to school and work. My parents have also offered me a room at their home because of the busy schedule and the need to save money for school. I am so grateful for their help and support. I wont be able to work as much as I want so that was a worry for me. But now I will be able to meet all my financial obligations and save the money I need for school. I know what you are thinking. 25 and moving home?!?!? What is this crazy girl thinking. Well this is what I am thinking. The choice to move home was not made on a whim. I had thought and pondered and prayed about this decision. I do love being home with my family but living at home after being on your own for such a long time is a hard thing to handle. My family and I are ready for the challenges that this will bring. I know that this is right for now and it will help me accomplish my goals. I am really excited for the new friends and new life that this will bring. I have about 2.5 years and then I will be a Nurse. I cant tell you how nice it is to have a family who is there when you need them. I could not do it all with out their help. Thanks Mom and Dad.

GREAT NEWS!!!

Well so much has been going on! I have decided to be an RN. I start January 5th and it will take me about 35 months. So life is going to be really crazy trying to get the schooling finished in such a short amount of time. But I couldn't be more excited. It is so nice to have my family supporting me and giving me SO much encouragement. I cant wait!! Some more great news is that my cousin Melissa will be coming for Christmas!!! I am so excited. We are so close its like my sister coming home. We went to school together and have been best friends for years. She lives in Iowa now so we don't get to see each other very often. But my Grandpa Jack gave her a ticket out here for Christmas and I feel like it is more my gift than hers. Grandpa Jack and my Aunt Linda and Alyssa are going to be here too! We are being spoiled for Christmas. This year we have decided to give gifts from the heart. I cant wait. I a making all of the gifts I am giving except for Mom and Dads. I will have to show you pics later. They read this blog so I cant tell you what I got them. Well I should go.

Love you all!
